Wat doet een logistiek medewerker?
Een logistiek medewerker is de schakel tussen voorraad, transport en klant. Je zorgt ervoor dat goederen op tijd op de juiste plek terechtkomen – van het magazijn tot aan de vrachtwagen. Zonder logistiek medewerkers ligt alles stil.
De taken op een rij
Als logistiek medewerker werk je met binnenkomende en uitgaande goederen. Je helpt bij het laden en lossen, controleert leveringen, houdt voorraden bij en zorgt dat alles klaarstaat voor transport. In sommige functies regel je ook de planning of het papierwerk rond verzendingen.
Je werkt vaak samen met magazijnmedewerkers, chauffeurs en planners. Afhankelijk van het bedrijf kan het werk fysiek zijn, administratief, of een mix van beide.

Logistiek medewerkers zijn overal nodig waar spullen worden opgeslagen en vervoerd. Denk aan distributiecentra, transportbedrijven, productiebedrijven, supermarkten, bouwmaterialen of e-commerce.

Transcon refers to our road transport department. A shipment doesn’t just appear at an airport, shipping line, distribution center, or retail store, there’s an entire process that happens beforehand! To support this, Expeditors manages a network of road carriers. The Transcon team coordinates all shipments to and from airports and shipping lines across Europe.
As a Transcon Customer Service Agent, you are the main point of contact for our customers regarding the pickup and delivery of shipments. You ensure a smooth and timely road transport process and keep all stakeholders informed about incoming deliveries. You’re also involved in the delivery process, making sure documentation and customs procedures are handled accurately and efficiently.
Throughout it all, providing an excellent customer experience is your top priority. In short, this role is a great fit for someone with a talent for organization, planning, taking initiative, and working with precision.
